Tip
Set up a home-office corner (pretty and productive)
Remote work is here to stay, but the home-office corner is often improvised on a corner of the table. Yet a well-thought-out workspace makes you want to sit down and blends into the decor. Here's how to nail it, even without a dedicated room.
Choose the spot well
Ideally near a window (natural light cuts fatigue) and, if possible, with your back to a wall to feel grounded. Avoid working facing the TV or the bed: visually separate work from rest.

Get the basic ergonomics right
Three game-changing rules: screen at eye level, elbows at 90°, and a real chair that supports your back. Comfort is what gets you through a day without aches or tension.
Light, in two layers
Natural light by day; in the evening, an adjustable desk lamp (neutral light on the work side) plus a warm ambient source in the room. Avoid the lone screen glowing in the dark.
Tidy to keep a clear mind
A cluttered desk scatters focus. A shelf above or a drawer unit frees the surface, hides cables, and leaves only the essentials within reach. A clean space = a clear head.

Make it pleasant, not clinical
A desk isn't an open-plan office: add a plant, an object you love, a nice mug, a rug underfoot. These decor touches make you want to sit there and integrate the corner with the rest of the home.
A good home-office corner is light, a decent seat, storage and a bit of soul. Start by moving it near a window and adding an adjustable lamp.
