Find furniture from a photo, with its price
Add a photo of a piece of furniture you love to Spaace It, then a photo of your room. The app places the piece in your room and shows where to buy it, with the price of each offer.
Spaace It is an AI interior design app for iPhone, Android and desktop. Inside the app, this furniture identifier is called “Steal a piece”.

What can Spaace It find in a photo?
Furniture you can buy: a pendant light, an armchair, a coffee table, a sofa. For each one, Spaace It lists retailer offers with their prices.
- 1
Paper pendant$89 - 2
Zebra armchair$489 - 3
Travertine table$379 - 4
Chocolate sofa$1,149
Example. The prices shown here are for illustration: in the app, each price comes from a retailer's listing.
How do you find furniture from a photo?
With two photos: one of the piece, one of the room where you want to see it.
- 1
Add the photo of the piece
A photo taken in a store or at a friend's place, or a screenshot from a website or a post, saved to your camera roll. On desktop, drop the image into the window.
- 2
Tap the piece
A frame lands on it and you adjust it by the corners. If you tap nothing, Spaace It spots the piece and frames it for you.
- 3
Add the photo of your room
Step back so the walls show. You can tap the spot where the piece should go.
- 4
Run the render
Spaace It places the piece in your room, and its card tells you how many alternatives were found. If the spot is wrong, “Change the spot” moves it.
- 5
Compare the offers
Each offer shows the retailer and its price. A tap opens the retailer's page, and the heart saves the offer to your wishlist.

What does the piece look like in your room?
Like the photo of your room, with the piece in it. Spaace It places it there and keeps the structure of the room: the walls, the windows, the light.

Zebra armchair
$489
Example: the zebra armchair from the first photo, placed in another living room. Drag the line to compare.
What does each offer show?
An image, the product name, the retailer, the price and a link to its page. Spaace It adds a few markers.
- The order
- The product recognized in your photo comes first when a retailer sells it. Similar pieces follow, from cheapest to most expensive.
- “Best price”
- The label sits on the cheapest priced offer in the list.
- “Indicative price”
- The price comes from the listing, and Spaace It could not read it again on the retailer's page. It then carries the ≈ sign.
- The market price
- From five prices found, Spaace It works out the median price. It shows it when the best offer is at least 15% below.
- “Check delivery”
- The product was recognized at a retailer in a country other than yours.
What about furniture in a Spaace It render?
After a redesign, the cart button puts a dot on the furniture in the image, eight pieces at most. Tap a dot: Spaace It searches retailers for that piece and opens the same list of offers.
Those pieces were drawn by the AI. The offers found are therefore furniture that looks like them.
What Spaace It does not do
- Sell furniture
- Spaace It sells nothing. Purchase, stock and delivery are handled on the retailer's site.
- Guarantee a price
- Prices are indicative. They date from the search and may have changed by the time you open the retailer's page.
- Find every model
- An antique, handmade or made-to-measure piece has no online listing. Spaace It then offers similar furniture, or shows no offer.
- Date or value an antique
- Spaace It looks for furniture on sale today. It does not date a piece, name its maker or estimate what it is worth.
- Search without your room
- Offers arrive with the render of the piece in your room. Both photos are needed.
- Measure
- The render shows how the piece looks in your room. For dimensions, read the retailer's page.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there an app that can identify furniture from a picture?
- Yes. Spaace It, on iPhone, Android and desktop, identifies a piece of furniture from a photo, lists retailer offers with their prices and places the piece in a photo of your room. Google Lens and Pinterest also find objects from an image.
- Can I use a screenshot from Pinterest or Instagram?
- Yes. A screenshot saved to your camera roll is added to Spaace It like any other photo. Then tap the piece, so the app knows which one to look for.
- Are the prices accurate?
- They are indicative. Spaace It shows the price from the retailer's listing at the time of the search. The price that counts is the one on the retailer's page.
- Does Spaace It find the exact model?
- When the product in the photo is sold online and recognized, Spaace It puts it at the top of the list. Otherwise the app shows similar furniture, from cheapest to most expensive.
- Can Spaace It find a cheaper lookalike?
- Spaace It lists similar pieces from cheapest to most expensive, after the recognized product. A lower-priced lookalike appears in that list when one is on sale in your country. Spaace It does not label any offer as a dupe.
- Can Spaace It identify antique furniture and its value?
- No. Spaace It looks for furniture on sale today. It does not date a piece, name its maker or estimate what it is worth.
- How is Spaace It different from Google Lens?
- Google Lens quickly returns images and products close to your photo. Spaace It adds a step: it places the piece in a photo of your room, next to offers from retailers in your country.
- Which countries does Spaace It search in?
- Yours: the country is set in Settings, under “Country and currency”. In 23 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland and Australia, Spaace It knows the major retailers and gives them priority over unknown shops.
- How much does Spaace It cost?
- Spaace It is free to download on the App Store and Google Play. The subscription costs $19.99 a month or $39.99 a year, with no commitment.
