This marble-base arc lamp transforms a living-room corner

Our current favourite is the CCLIFE marble-base arc floor lamp. It solves a problem everyone knows: lighting a sofa or reading chair when there's no socket right beside it. Its wide arc casts light nearly a metre from the base and, along the way, structures the living room like a real decor piece. Seen from ~€57 (around €80 for the white/marble finish) — excellent looks-for-money for this kind of lamp.

Why it's a good buy

Two things make the difference here: the marble base, heavy enough that the wide arc won't tip, and the height adjustable from 145 to 220 cm, which lets it genuinely overhang the sofa whatever your layout. The curved chrome metal frame and round shade give it a workshop-lamp look at a fraction of the €300 models in decor stores.

What we like

The curve brings movement to a room full of straight lines, and the marble adds a chic touch. The kind of object that makes a living room feel 'designed' for very little, and gets noticed even when off. Bulb not included: fit an E27 (60 W max), ideally a warm-white LED.

How to style it

Keep the weighted base out of the walkway, behind or beside the sofa, and lower the shade to seated head height: light for reading without glare. A warm bulb (2700 K) for evening cosiness. Tip: it's THE fix when the only free socket is on the opposite side of the seating area.
